99 Days deserves a 6.4 out of 10 rating.
"Day 1: Julia Donnelly eggs my house my first night back in Star Lake, and that’s how I know everyone still remembers everything—how I destroyed my relationship with Patrick the night everything happened with his brother, Gabe. How I wrecked their whole family. Now I’m serving out my summer like a jail sentence: Just ninety-nine days till I can leave for college, and be don ...more"
I Loved the beginning of this book so much. I couldn't even put it down.... and then Molly started making stupid mistakes that she would regret, but did she really care or think about others? NO!I loved and felt so bad for Tessa and Gabe. I know that Gabe had done some stupid things and maybe his initial intentions were stupid, but he just got so sweet with Molly. Tessa was such a sweetheart from day 1. Even after finding out Molly was Patrick's Ex. I mean she really considered her a dear friend.
I honestly think I have never hated a character so much. I really tried to like Patrick, but just everything he did, along with the flashbacks with him being totally selfish ruined my image of him. I felt bad for him at the beginning, however he was no better than Molly.
Honestly I think there were a lot of times when I wanted to put down this book, however it's only saving grace was that I wanted Molly to either smarten up, or get caught. One of these things did happen, but I won't say which to spoil it for those who want to read this book.
Finally, clearly I didn't truly hate this book. It was more the premise of the book. I still was hoping that the author could produce a sequel so she could retouch on the characters and to see what happened with everyone. I liked the ending, but it left me wanting more for certain characters.
In Conclusion, this book wasn't a total downfall. I did still mostly enjoy it. If you read this book, I do wish you a happy reading, and hopefully you"ll like this books more than I did.
