99 Days by Katie Cotugno

99 Days deserves a 6.4 out of 10 rating.

"Day 1: Julia Donnelly eggs my house my first night back in Star Lake, and that’s how I know everyone still remembers everything—how I destroyed my relationship with Patrick the night everything happened with his brother, Gabe. How I wrecked their whole family. Now I’m serving out my summer like a jail sentence: Just ninety-nine days till I can leave for college, and be don ...more"

I Loved the beginning of this book so much. I couldn't even put it down.... and then Molly started making stupid mistakes that she would regret, but did she really care or think about others? NO!

Chains of Water & Stone (The Griever's Mark #2) By Katherine Hurley

Chains of Water & Stone deserves 9.5 out of 10

"Who is Logan’s father? The question has been whispered behind his back all his life. He’s ignored it, forced himself not to care, but when Belos starts demanding an answer to this very question, it takes on a new and disturbing significance.

As the race to answer this question begins, others rise in its wake, unearthing a mystery that could shake the very foundation of Earthmaker

The Griever's Mark By Katherine Hurley

The Griever's Mark deserves 8 out of 10

"Astarti’s master controls her through a Leash, a bond of energy anchored deep within her. Despite being one of the few remaining Drifters, able to manipulate the energy world, she cannot break free. She knows her fate: she will serve until she dies, at which point her master will harvest her energy to augment his own.
Oh, yes, she’s done some bad things in her master’s name ...more"
**I received this book from the author in exchange for a honest review**
The general idea of this book was really neat. It's about Astarti, a girl who is a drifter and was raised by a cruel man by the name of Belos. Astarti happens to be leashed to Belos, basically making him her "master". She however has a mind of her own in a way, and this is helped to be proven through the Earthmaker Logan.
The book was definitely something else. I really enjoyed it and it had a lot of great aspects to it. Although there were some things about the book that I struggled with.
One of my favourite things about this book was Astarti. She is the main character in this book. I loved her because she is totally bad ass. She is the perfect girl main character because she doesn't need saving by anyone, and she can kick some butt if she wanted to. I also liked that she may have been leashed to Belos but that didn't stop her from acting on her own. I also loved the way she fell in love with Logan, slowly but surely.

The Heir by Kiera Cass

The Heir by Kiera Cass deserves a 8.9 out of 10

"Princess Eadlyn has grown up hearing endless stories about how her mother and father met. Twenty years ago, America Singer entered the Selection and won the heart of Prince Maxon—and they lived happily ever after. Eadlyn has always found their fairy-tale story romantic, but she has no interest in trying to repeat it. If it were up to her, she'd put off marriage for as long ...more"

This book kept me on my toes that's for sure. I loved a lot of things about this book, but there were things I didn't quite enjoy all that much.

The things I loved included the premise of the storyline, along with a lot of the characters.

The things I loved about the storyline would have to be the whole changing the rules and having a girl to be the ruler or Illea. I liked that it was mentioned that Maxon and America immediately changed the rule so their first born could not be deprived of her ruling. I also liked how much Illea had changed since The One to The Heir. Also it was interesting to see The Selection through the eyes of the chooser rather than the participate.

The Unpopular Opinions Tag

I was tagged by LA LA in the LIBRARY to do this tag, and I fully accept her challenge !!

1. Popular book or series you didn't like:

THE HUNGER GAME SERIES!!!!!!

2.A book or series everyone else hated but you love:

Beautiful Creatures series. Everywhere on GR threads all I see is hate...but I actually really like the series

3. A love triangle where the protagonist ended up with the person you didn't want them to be with:

OMG THE DELIRIUM SERIES!! All though it was never really  clarified who she really ended up with.. it totally hinted Alex... but I LOVED Julian!!

4. Popular Genre you hardly read:

I can't really get into the mystery genre as much as I would like too.

5. A popular/beloved charater you dislike:

Edward Cullen.

6.Popular author you can't seem to get into:

See I really wanted to like John Green...but I just can't

7.A popular trope you're tired of reading:

Where the girl moves away, starts a new life and she is HAPPY but then that one boy from her past comes back, and she crumbles like
 a Chocolate. Chip. Cookie.

8. A popular series you have no intention of reading;

Honestly, even though it hasn't even come out yet, I can't see myself reading The Dark Artifices by Cassandra Clare. Loved the Infernal Devices, was okay with Mortal Instruments, but this one.. nope.

9. A book or series you wanted to hate but loved:

I really wanted to hate The Selection Series by Kiera Cass, like I tried really hard... however I ended up LOVING it.

10. A show/movie adaptation you liked better than the book:

The fault in our Stars by John Green was definitely saved by the movie.

I encourage anyone and everyone to do this tag!! It was a lot of fun!!
