Hello everyone, today on the blog I am joining Reigh the Earth blog tour hosted by Bloomsbury. Today's post is all about who we would want to team up with to essentially reign the earth. The choice was completely up to the bloggers, and this person could be fictional or a real. Be sure to check out the end of my post, as there is a giveaway in store as well!
While picking who I would want to reign the earth with I had a couple of ideas come to my mind. I could pick a person I knew in real life, like one of my blogger friends (Stephanie from OhanaReads, or Alexis from Mad For Books, Luv). However, I can actually explore the world with them. So I decided it would be cool to imagine a fictitious person to room and reign the earth with.
If I could reign the earth with someone, why not do it with someone who has conquered every city she has come into contact with. She takes people with her words... and sometimes her dragons. I would LOVE to go side by side with Daenerys Targaryen, the queen of the dragons from the famously known series written by George R. R. Martin, Game of Thrones.
She is a kickass character, who is determined to lead people the right way. To me, she is definitely an empowering queen, who I would totally want to befriend. Together while reigning the earth we could ride her dragons, because would that not be the coolest thing ever? Her dragons would keep us safe and warm, on our journey. Plus, I feel like she would have some handy survival skills if we ever got into trouble.
Title: Reign the Earth
Author: A.C. Gaughen
Publication Date: January 30th, 2018
Publisher: Bloomsbury
Pages: 448 pages
Description: Shalia is a proud daughter of the desert, but after years of devastating war with the adjoining kingdom, her people are desperate for peace. Willing to trade her freedom to ensure the safety of her family, Shalia becomes Queen of the Bonelands.
But she soon learns that her husband, Calix, is motivated only by his desire to exterminate the Elementae—mystical people who can control earth, wind, air, and fire. Even more unsettling are Shalia’s feelings for her husband’s brother, which unleash a power over the earth she never knew she possessed—a power that could get her killed. As rumors of a rebellion against Calix spread, Shalia must choose between the last chance for peace and her own future as an Elementae.
This intense, richly drawn high-fantasy by the author of Scarlet will hold readers spellbound.
Who would you reign the earth with??
